Battery-Operated Positive-Pressure Ventilation Fans

These Super Vac PPV fans are grouped by battery ecosystem because the power pack drives airflow, runtime, and the chassis combinations available to the crew. The result is a cleaner spec discussion than treating every battery version like a separate product family.

What Changes From Platform To Platform

The fan family stays visually familiar, but the battery platform changes airflow, runtime, available blade sizes, and whether the compact saddle-style 16" unit is offered alongside the wheeled 16", 18", and 20" packages.

Application Notes

Saddle-style 16" units

DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Makita include the compact 16" saddle format. HURST and Stihl do not, so their lineup starts with the wheeled 16" fan.

Wheeled fan packages

Every battery family carries the larger wheeled fans where crews need tilt control, fast repositioning, and higher airflow on push paths into the structure.

Runtime footnotes

Published runtimes vary by battery selection. Airflow values are based on the AMCA 240-22 PPV test standard or the comparable procedure called out in the source notes.

Battery Platform Overview

DeWalt

DeWalt Battery Fans

Available in 16" saddle, 16" wheeled, 18" wheeled, and 20" wheeled configurations for crews already committed to the DeWalt battery platform.

  • Battery: DeWalt batteries
  • Airflow range: 8,127 to 9,456 CFM
  • Runtime range: Up to 58 to 66 minutes
  • Applications: 4

Milwaukee

Milwaukee REDLITHIUM Battery Fans

Built around Milwaukee M18 and M28 REDLITHIUM batteries, with the same four physical formats and a stronger top-end 20" airflow figure than the DeWalt lineup.

  • Battery: Milwaukee M18/M28 REDLITHIUM
  • Airflow range: 7,721 to 9,867 CFM
  • Runtime range: Up to 52 to 62 minutes
  • Applications: 4

HURST

HURST EWXT/E3 Battery Fans

This package begins with the wheeled 16" fan and skips the saddle layout. It is positioned for departments already standardizing around HURST extrication batteries.

  • Battery: 5.0Ah or 9.0Ah HURST EWXT/E3
  • Airflow range: 7,879 to 9,413 CFM
  • Runtime range: Up to 61 to 63 minutes
  • Applications: 3, no saddle fan

Makita

Makita XGT Battery Fans

Makita brings back the 16" saddle option and posts the longest runtime in your notes at the 20" wheeled size.

  • Battery: 4.0Ah, 5.0Ah, or 8.0Ah Makita XGT
  • Airflow range: 7,921 to 9,773 CFM
  • Runtime range: Up to 39 to 67 minutes
  • Applications: 4

Stihl

Stihl AP Battery Fans

Stihl is another three-application lineup with no saddle fan, but it posts the strongest airflow figures in your notes across the 16", 18", and 20" wheeled packages.

  • Battery: Stihl AP 300S or AP 500S
  • Airflow range: 11,700 to 14,100 CFM
  • Runtime range: Up to 32 to 35 minutes
  • Applications: 3, no saddle fan
